We get to see the man we hate the most behind the drums two weeks in a row as Them Crooked Vultures will be on Austin City Limits on February 13th (following the Feb 6 performances on Saturday Night Live) on your favorite PBS affiliate.  The episode actually taped on Sep 30 last year, after they only had a few shows under their belts, so it should prove interesting.  Watch a preview video of John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin bass player), Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and some other dude playing slide guitar performing New Fang off their new album:

That's right ladies and gents, the critically acclaimed group, Them Crooked Vultures,  featuring Dave Grohl on drums, John Paul Jones on bass and Josh Homme on guitar and vocals is going to be on SNL a week from this Saturday.  So set your VCR's, DVR's, catch it later on the interweb or just stay up late to check them out.  Apparently this will be the first time that John Paul Jones (from Led Zeppelin) will have been on the show.  It will be Dave Grohl's seventh.

I hate Dave Grohl.

So here’s the big news today.  Apparently Dave Grohl had to turn down Paul McCartney, after Sir Paul asked to play bass in his new band.  What the what?!  That’s right; Paul McCartney came out with this little tidbit yesterday.  There’s a couple of interesting things to me about this.

Today Dave Grohl turns 41 years old and even MTV  is wishing him happy birthday.  Hmm.  That's nice.

I hate Dave Grohl.

Okay, so last night I had a dream about Dave Grohl.  Not sure how many people have this, but I sometimes dream of celebrities.  I've dreamt of Adam Sandler before and most recently I had a dream about Matt Damon (I'm not sure I should've admitted that just now).  But they're not strange dreams (well dreams are often strange), but just normal, these are my friends and we're hanging out kind of dreams.  However, in this dream, Dave Grohl and I were not friends.

Some background:  the Foo Fighters have a concert DVD out, Live at Wembley Stadium, that was released recently.  I have considered making the purchase, and I plan to do so soon with an Amazon  Christmas gift certificate I have.  But in my dream I had already bought it.  I plopped the DVD in and start watching it.  Instead of a concert DVD,

I ran across a forum topic on Rock Band's website, which was pretty funny.  You know those "Facts about Chuck Norris" jokes that went around awhile ago?  Well, someone started a "Facts about Dave Grohl" thread, which was suppposed to be mainly about Dave Grohl Rock Band trivia, but then people started going crazy with it.  A lot of it was re-hashes of the old jokes with Dave Grohl substituted for Chuck Norris.  Not that funny.  But here are some pretty funny ones that were not obviously Chuck Norris rip-offs:
