Alright, just in case you missed it and wanted to see, here is the video from Saturday night's performance of Them Crooked Vultures on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. Watch Dave Grohl get all beefy and intense. I have to say, I find Josh Homme as lead singer a rather lackluster performer. I think he's a really good guitar player and gifted songwriter musically, but he doesn't do much to hold my interest visually. I like watching John Paul Jones hold down the groove though. That guy rocks. Three videos follow below, two songs (New Fang and Mind Eraser) and then a very funny skit where Dave Grohl joins Ashton Kutcher as part of an aging hard core band, performing at a wedding. And finally, in keeping with the spirit of this website, I ran across an entry on Rollingstone.com in which the editors ran a reader's poll of the greatest rock drummers of all time. I know you don't even have to guess who made their top five. That's right, Dave Grohl was number 4 behind John Bonham (Led Zeppelin), Neal Peart (Rush) and Keith Moon (The Who). He beat out Stewart Copland (The Police), Ringo Starr (The Beatles). Charlie Watts (The Rolling Stones), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and Alex Van Halen (Van Halen) among others. To see the full list go here. Congratulations Dave Grohl. I hate you. CommentsCandor 02/09/2010 9:20am
