Just read on Yahoo news that the Foo Fighters have begun writing songs for their next album and they plan to start recording in September.  Not only that,  but another Them Crooked Vultures album is coming out by the end of the summer according to bassist John Paul Jones.  Yet another way Dave Grohl is costing me money since I'll have to buy both. 

However, I have been meaning to comment on this other band, Them Crooked Vultures and how they are taking all of Dave's time, which means it will be that much longer until I can enjoy another Foo Fighters fix (how's that for alliteration?).  I was going to go on and on about it too and end with how I hate Dave Grohl.  But now, somehow, magically, despite touring, writing songs and recording another album with TCV, there is another FF album in the works.  It does make you wonder, though, exactly WHEN is he doing this?  Are they sharing songs online, emailing bits and pieces back and forth?  Does this man sleep?  He is one productive dude, I'll tell you that.  It was all I could to do release a four song EP recently.  I really think he is super-human.  Or an alien. 

I hate Dave Grohl.

There hE goes again. After you had a perfectly formulated rant prepared about delaying FF progress hE goes and releases albums from both bands. Will hE never stop taking things away from you! Be safe and double check you wallet dude.

Dave Grohl's whole livelihoo consists of being a d-bag rockstar!!! I'm surprised he only has time to work on two albums and not a dozen!

Plus, Dave Grohl is only a drummer in TCV, believe me when I say it is easy to write a few drum tracks for them. The FF's are a little different, I'll give you that...considering he's the frontman. But does he REALLY write his own songs. Come on, with Dave's status, he probably has a whole host of songwriters at his beck and call. Maybe he might write a chorus or a cool guitar lick here and there, but there have to be other songwriters. No?

Thanks, Candor. I appreciate your...candor. If I found out that Dave has a host of songwriters pumping out ideas for him and the Foo's, my whole world might crumble around me, shattering all my hopes and dreams for our future world. It's funny, there's a rumor out there that Dave Grohl actually wrote the songs for Andrew W.K. Where do the veils end?

I was wondering just the same thing! If he's supposed to make a TCV album by the end of the summer, make a Foo album this fall, when is he supposed to do this and the following touring? And what about Josh Homme? He's gonna tour with QotSA with their first album, or so I've heard. I also agree with you that I need my Foo fix, and I need it real soon!
Also, I love your site. It's really entertaining and you have the latest news on Dave Grohl. And you're not alone on the money thing. I have bought basically every Dave album, and I recently travelled to Denmark (I live in Norway) to see Them Crooked Vultures at Roskilde, which, the festival alone, without the traveling, cost me 140 bucks
I hate/love Dave very much <3
